I am trying to run batch upgrade (using Revit 9.1) for my library, following the instructions of Mr Spot.. creates jornal which doesn't make sense to me it's very long and at the end saying 26-Aug-2008 11:07:37.908; Scripting failure Wrong number of arguments or invalid property assignment: 'Jrn.Command' 'Src: Microsoft VBScript runtime error looked at AUGi forum, someone recommended to replace rwuxthemeSU80.dll file -did nnot help... i used file Upgrade_RFA.bat and upgrade_rfa.txt from CD of Revit 9 ...also tried to upgrade small folders just for test-crashes all the way. Any ideas

fluffycat, I am currently upgrading previous version 9.1 to 2009 and am successfully updating about 20 000 family files. I have had 3 files that have been corrupt and halt the process totally....I have had to go into the famlist...rfa.txt and deleted the offending file. thereafter the upgrade has progressed fairly smoothly. What exactly are you doing that is not working?

Thanks for your reply..still couldn't resolve it. Just did a siple test-loaded Upgrade_rfa.bat file and upgrade_rfa.txt in a folder with only few families, it generated famlist.txt file with a list of families, than I dropped Upgrade_rfa.txt into the Revit icon. Program start opening files and fails to open (and crash Revit, suggesting to report to Autodesk),also created a journal...I tried that with different folders,on different version of Revit 2009 on another PC-same result, can it be a problem with these files off CD?

Initially I had the same problem and received the error " failed to open file" and then Revit crashed. I solved this by adding all three txt files to the revit icon....first the 'famlist.txt' then the 'famlist_rfa.txt' and finally the 'upgrade_RFA.txt'....this kicked in automatically and all worked ok. Be advised though that revit stops the entire operation as soon as it comes across a file that it is not happy with...the offending file then must be located and deleted in both the 'famlist.txt and famlist_rfa.txt files and then the process must be started from the begining again....although all files occuring/upgraded before the corrupt file may be removed from the txt files so that the process does not need to start with repeating upgrades...only delete the offending file in the txt files and not from the directory...the offending files can be opened and upgraded manually at a later stage from your library directory....Also be aware that this seems to be a very timing consuming process....my upgrade took about 4-5hours....good luck hope all goes well....the files from th CD should be ok but if you feel they have been corrupted then the* .bat files are available for download from the autodesk website...
