working on a military job requiring both metric units and imperial units for our shop. i need to tag the duct with its duct size and elevation in both units. i know there is no way to automatically do this in revit but wondering what is the most easiest and/or efficient way of doing so? i was just goin to make a tag in metric then just put text next to it for the imperial equivalent. meaning i would have to go to eveery duct to do so. which equals lots of work. any other ways of acomplishing this task?

Place a tag, then highlight and "Edit Family". The label that is already in there copy it down so that you have two labels that say the same thing. Highligh one of the lables and click "Edit Label", select the Label Parameter you would like to have in metric (assuming its in Imperial now) and below the Labels Parameters box is a Hand with a # sign, click that, uncheck "Use Project Settings" and then change the units to whatever you would like. Load it back in, and now when you tag you should see both metric and imperial. HTH Let me know if you have any other questions on this or if its unclear.

alright so i copied the tag down and selected the label and then went "edit label." In the "edit label" dialog box i selected to label but the hand with the number sign remains grayed out(unclickable). now what?

I am pretty sure I know what it is, but could you attach your tag family so I could take a look?

Ok, so the issue here is that ducts are system familes and "Size" is not a parameter you can do much with since is a system parameter as well. You have to change it from size to "Width" and "Height" Take a look at the attached video and let me know if that what you wanted. One other thing...you will have to make a new type for this to work for both round and rectangular ducts.
