just in case any Autocad Revit Architecture Suite users on subscritption have not heard. you will now be receiving Autocad Architecture also as part of suite package. that's all three programs (Autocad, Revit, and Autocad Architecture) as one package. it's called Autocad Revit Architecture Suite 2009.1 and should start shipping mid-September there abouts. You must be a Autocad Revit Architecture Suite subscription member. Customers who have purchased licenses of AutoCAD Revit Architecture Suite 2009 who are not on subscription will not be entitled to this benefit and will need to purchase subscription to gain access to the new product offering. i'm not sure but i think if you have just Revit w/ a subscription, you don't qualify for this package either. Congrads to all you Autocad Revit Architecture Suite holders.

I still find it difficult to grasp why they persist with aiming Autocad at Architects. Surely this is now almost a "legacy" product with respect to Architecture. Who would not want to migrate to BIM?

I really do not understand autodesk. Why don't they concentrate on trying to integrate Autocad with Revit into one single product. rather than developing the different products and selling them in suites

I am hopeful that they will not try to do this. REVIT works so very well because it isn't CAD and I don't want it to be. AUTODESK was trying, and continues to try, to make AutoCAD do what REVIT can do but so far, it just isn't working. I have bet on AUTODESK maintaining the REVIT product and I hope I win.

I agree with WWHub. I don't want AutoCad to work like Revit. I use both programs and I like the way AutoCad and Revit work together but are still seperate programs.

autocad and revit is sort of like trying to explain the difference between photoshop and illustrator. they do two very different things but get confused for doing the same thing.
