We are having an issue with walls on an existing Phase not showing the coarse scale fill pattern. When the Phase Filter is set to Previous and New, the fill pattern shows up, but the wall itself is shown at full intensity. What we're trying to achieve is having the wall on the existing phase appear halftone and still show the coarse scale fill pattern (fyi, the fill pattern is a custom fire rating). Any idea what settings need to be tweaked to get everything to display properly? Thanks, Jim

In 2008 (and I"m pretty sure it's similar in 2009) you go to Settings > Phases and play with the PHases and graphic overrides. You can set up custom phases if you prefer. Let me know if you need more detailed information.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders. The most famous is never get involved in a land war in asia, but only slightly less well known is this! Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line! |

Let me provide more information about the setup. We're using Revit 2008 and have Core/Shell, Interior, and Existing models all linked together. The walls in question are in the Core/Shell model and are set to Phase 2, Show All. I've attached 3 BMP files. The first shows the walls in the Core/Shell file. The 2nd shows the Interior file with the Phase set to Phase 2A and the Phase Filter set to Show All. The 3rd shows the Interior file with the Phase set to Phase 2A and the Phase Filter set to Previous and New. What we're looking for is the graphics to show a halftone wall as in the 2nd example with the coarse scale fill pattern as shown in the 3rd example. Any suggestiions as to what graphic overrides I need to tweak would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jim
