Does anyone know how to link/import the excel file (.xls) into the Revit?

I also tried to import the excel file into Cad, and then import that cad file into Revit, but it won't work.

any suggestion?

Hi, you can import a shedule by one project to the current project only, but you can EXPORT with File>Export>Shedule to a file to Excel or a ODBC file...

There is no quick/easy way to import excel files into Revit...

They can be linked through a rather lengthy process:

Create a generic annotation family for the header.

Within that family nest a second family that is composed of a single row.

The nested row family will contain a type parmater for each excel column.

Then from excel you can create a second worksheet that exports to the proper comma delimited text file that can be used to load all the "row types" into header family.

If your familiar with excel macros you could create a simple button that creates a new text file or even go as far as having it indicate which cells were modified.

We have used this method with a decent amount of success but it is complex in setup.

I believe this method was covered at an autodesk training at one point.
