Does anyone know how to delete a CAD file that has been imported (not linked) into a Revit file? It was "deleted" in plan views by simply selecting it and hitting the delete key. I can't seem to find the CAD file in any other view, but it's still there in my visibility graphics. I've attempted to purge unused, but the dwg remains. Since it was not truly linked, it does not appear in the link manager either. Any insight would be appreciated.

There is an extension you can download (for 2008 ) that you can use to get rid of them...let me check on the name of the extension and get back to you.

Does anyone know about this extension they are talking about? I am desperate to delete 5 imported .DWG files from my project, but I can't find them in any views - I've turned all layers on, checked all phases, checked the lightbulb, tried selecting all 3d, tried purging - they do not appear anywhere except in my Imported Categories. PLEASE - DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO DELETE THESE HIDDEN DWG BUGGERS?

I'm using 2009, and had the same issue if you go to visibility graphics Object styles tab (at bottom) select the cad drawing and expand to show all layers select layers and hit "delete" Once I did that, it removed the cad file.

Ah, now I see where the delete button was - I didn't realize I had to click into Object Style button. The delete button goes away when I select more than one. Is there a way to delete a bunch of layers, or do you have to go one by one (that would be painful.) -- By the way, I discoverd this free download that works like a charm: http://www.revittools.info/ It allows you to find and delete all CAD files in your project as well as other things...
