I don't want to ask a stupid question, but I am pretty sure I have looked for the answer everywhere. I was doing a MEP plan and went in and half-toned all my walls, doors, and windows. I drew out my plan and went on to the second floor layout. When I returned to the first floor MEP plan, you could no longer see my walls, windows, and doors. I can hover over them and have them appear, so their not hidden in view, you just can't SEE them. My rooms are still there and everything. I don't know. I've checked my view parameters and element properties. Any ideas?

This visibility behaviour resembles what normally happens then you use the 'linework' tool to make model lines 'invisible'? Is this a possibility? Try using the 'linework' tool to make the linework back to 'by catagory' instead.

Also if you are going to layout MEP objects you should change the view 'discipline' to Mechanical or Electrical. This will automamtically half tone the non MEP objejcts. You can also use the preset 'view templates' to zap a view into the out of the box or custom view states if you don't like how 'discipline' works.

It seems odd that you had the first floor looking good with MEP objects and half toned walls, then switched to your second level view and then back to your first floor and it had changed? You must have did something in between? Are you using the 'Phasing' or 'Linework' tools at all?

There is a logical answer to the question. It's too bad revitcity did not have a larger 'upload' capability so we could open the model. This would be a 5 minute fix.

What does a cross section show? Can you post a snapshot?

Daryl Gregoire 100's of REVIT Training Videos

Ok, so what happened was i switched to electrical and that's when everything become hidden. So when switched back to architectural, all my walls and windows became visible again. I then went back in and half-toned walls, windows, etc...So i'll try mechanical and see if the same thing happens, but is they a setting menu or property options for the disciplines where you can chose how things are viewed when in each discipline? Thanks again for your help, I appreciated it.
