Hi all i am hoping that there is someone out there that can help me with this request.

we ar in the porcess of moving our database to ARCHIBUS whic is a FM tool and on their website archibus.com they have relised a overlay with design management for AutoCAD and REVIT. now i need to find out more information about this and how it works. i have tryed to contact Archibus but they have not responded and if i dont try to get more information then i think our University will stop using Revit and move on to only usinf AutoCAD as that is the main program to work archibus. if your university wants to stay on the right track, i don't think they will stop using Revit. but here is some info you may find helpful.

hi there

thank you for your responce and the pdf but i recived this responce today from archibus. please tell me what you think of the responce

I have been asked to convey that:Revit is neither compatible with the DWG viewer or the DWF web viewer. The client will not be able to view the highlighted areas as planned for future use. Most consultants technicians and architects technicians use Autocad light. 3D drawings are not compatible when convert to 2D packages. Therefore, Autocad is the recognized international software. Archibus Solutions needs to inform you of these issues to avoid problems in the drawing database. However, Revit is new and these issues may be sorted out in future upgrades.

riazadam,

I am really srprized that someone from archibus sent you this since AutoDESK has been pushing the fact that REVIT will be compatable with archibus.  I would send a copy of this to AutoDESK and your REVIT reseller and have them respond.
