you could attach the wall to the level of the ceiling/floor

you could play with the wall offsets, and just offset it a certain distance away from the level that the floor/ceiling is attached to.

thanks my boss doesn't want me to mess with the offset, or to attach the walls. those are the only ways I know, is there any other way?

Why not attach? That is really simple, whats the reasoning for not wanting to do that? That really is the only real way to do it.

not to sure why, except that we were told when creating a floor to say no to the two windows that pop when you finish the sketch. as for attaching floors on an individual basis, I have started to attach walls where it works best. but I was just wondering if there was any other way that I haven't figured out yet. also is it possible to attach a floor to a wall? that way an exterior wall can go up multiple floors and the incoming floor plates can attach so that they cut into the structure creating a platform and not a balloon framing. if I create the exterior as multiple walls and attach to the floor, then the end of the floor plate comes through the facade is not continuous up the facade.
