when inserting a single or double door into the curtain wall: storefront, is there an easier way to have the door maintain a standard size? If I need to keep the door 3'0x7'0 and centered, I am currently doing the math between the grid lines and dealing with the mullion thicknesses and in some cases the door never gets to an even dimension on the door schedule.

If you look the image you post, you have a blue pin with red cross, if you pick in that pin the red croos dissapear and in this way you can constrain the dimension of that mullions panels (left/right), if you pick in the right mullion the pin appears and the blue dimension also so unconstrain the pins and change the dimensions of the panels and this way you can have the panels with equals dimensions and you door is grow like do you want, when you have what you want pick again in the panels and pick again in that pin to constrais the dimension...

Hi, If you are using a storefront to create curtain wall with door, you'll always end up having mullions cut by door insertion. I find it helpful to just use the blank curtain wall (w/o grid and mullions), have a grids laid out and substitute a door in place of the panel. Because storefront curatin wall mullion spacing is dependent on the spacing parameters, there's no way for it to behave properly whenever you interrupt the mullion spacing with a door of window You are actually inserting door/window in the host wall and so happens that the storefront wall is there.

when u r doing a curtain wall system (drawing empty curtain wall, dividing it up into panels using curtain wall grid, then adding mullions, then changing the panels to doors, glazed panels, etc.) how can u change the thickness of the mullions? i want lets, say, like a 1'wide one. the ones on the drop down menu are all tiny (1"x1", etc) and lets say i wanted a huge one, for the sake of aesthetics....

In the "Project Browser" / Families you have Profiles, in there you have all the profiles loaded into the project, including the Mullions, select what you want and in the properties you can change the size of it, IF it's parametric of course...
