Hi, It does say Printer resolution, max 600dpi. Most probably it assumes the maximum dpi of your default printer (just a haunch). If you have a high definition printer, make it the default and restart revit and see it it shows. If you don't have more than 600dpi printer, you are safe. You can always increase your digital dpi in other photo-editing software.

You could use Photoshop-image/document size. Remember, it's no use having a higher dpi that your printer or output device. Say you want to show your products on a digital projector, no matter how high your resolution is if your projector's max is 300dpi, you are limited to that.

The idea in revit is that you create an image size in inches and then define the dpi of the image. if you want more dots then make the image size (in inches) bigger in revit.

How do you adjust the image size in inches? Printer setup? The only way I have found to increase the size is to stretch the camera view, which results in distortion.

select the crop box, then in the options bar there is an option called size. you probably want to select scale, then enter a new size. all done.

Thanks... that was easy. Now I only have to wait for three or four days and I'll have a big wonderful rendering.

hi, if you don't want to wait as long for the rendering, use the custom settings. i found a link on augi that talked about it. http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=80832&page=2 i go in and change the custom settings. most of my renderings have gone from 4-8 hours, down to under an hour.
