It's always been the case that with a few little tweaks you can improve your final rendered image.. and here's another one for Revit 2009 users. But be warned this will increase the render time... so be patient :o)For advanced lighting quality in interior views, you can enable daylight portals, if needed. Daylight portals improve the quality of light that shines through windows, doors that contain windows or glass, and curtain walls. The images below shows firstly on the left what the rendered image looks like without daylight portals enabled and then on the right with them on: By default, daylight portals are turned off. If a rendered image shows sunlight reflecting off surfaces, and the sunlight is speckled or splotchy, you may be able to improve the image by turning on daylight portals. To activate or switch on the Daylight Portals, Edit the Settings under Quality, within the Render dialog box... scroll down until to get to the Daylight Portal Options and then put a tick in windows, doors and curtain walls. Now just render your scene and go for a long lunch break. Justin www.revitup.co.za
