Why can't I trim my ellipse? - Is there a trick I'm missing?

You can't trim or in this case SPLIT the ellipse...

I tried to both trim and split the ellipse to no avail. When I'm in either the Trim or Split tool and hover over the ellipse, it doesn't get highlighted, as if it's not an option. It won't let me select it in either of those tools. I wonder why it's working for you... Mine is drawn as a Detail Line, if that matters...

I told you before, you can't TRIM or in this case SPLIT an ellipse... you can draw half ellipse and after draw the other half...

I'm having no problems in 2008sp3 or in 2009 doing it the standard way.

I'm using Revit 2009. Strange that you seem to be able to do it, yet Typhoon says it can't be done...
