When placing a Legend Component on a legend, you are given the option in the toolbar (View) to show the plan view, or the front, back, left, or right elevation of the component. However, a component I need to use only gives me the option of the plan, front, and back view. I assume this is modified by editing the family, but can't find the option to do so anywhere. I am using Revit Architecture 2008.

I am having the same issue. It looks as if there is no left or right option when the family is wall based. Does anyone have a solution?

Well I created this Urinal Partition and would like to show it from the side since it really does nothing for me to show it from the front or in plan.

Use an elevation of an in-place unit and hide the view mark in the plan.... or re-build your family and change what is the front.... could maybe just rotate everything in the family. ... out of the box thinking.... insert this family in a new family where the front is rotated..... only use this new family for your legend.
