I've made several custom lighting fixture families and included a 2D solid white fill detail component to use as a "symbol" in an actual drawing. I've set the VG settings so that only the 2D elements show in plan view, not the 3D elements. The families themselves look as I expect them to with these settings. But when I put them into a project, the 2D elements don't show up. With one of the families, I see the 3D drawing. With the other 2 families, I see only a black box (these are troffers). I can't figure out what is different between these families- they are all similar fixtures built the same way- and I the VG dialog box doesn't seem to offer an options that will fix this problem. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

We would have to look at your families.
