"Stairs require no more than two boundaries (chains of one or more Boundary Lines)." I'm using 2009 Revit. We've found that ramps are pretty fickle. Everytime I try to finish a ramp with a landing, I get the above error. Here's what I do. I draw reference planes. Three per stretch of the ramp. (this case is an "L" shaped ramp) I draw one line from the beginning of ramp to the beginning of the landing (on center ref plane). Second line begins at perpendicular edge of landing from where I stopped the first stretch and goes to where I need it to stop. All Ramp Properties seem to be aligned and ready. If I draw this ramp straight, with no landing, it works. Any suggestions? Thanks, Ben

Can you post an image of where you start the second line for the ramp run? I tried to duplicate what you were doing, but I can not get the same error, but instead get an L shaped ramp with a landing.

Need help? I'm probably in my chat room!
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders. The most famous is never get involved in a land war in asia, but only slightly less well known is this! Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line! |

I found the solution in another thread. Instead of drawing it using the run command, I draw it using the boundary. Thanks, Ben

I'M HAVING SAME PROBLEM WITH AN L-SHAPED RAMP. ONE RAMP IS WIDER THAN THE OTHER AND IT WORKS WHEN THEY ARE SAME WIDTH, BUT WHEN I TRY AND CHANGE THE WIDTH OF ONE RAMP IN THE L-SHAPE, I GET THE ERROR BELOW...
Stairs require no more than two boundaries (chains of one or more Boundary Lines).
ALL HELP WELCOME

You need to show us the sketch and tell us your process.
Are you adding linework?
