you might want try playing with the "show crop region"...sometime you over lapping the crop fence with an element within the marker....

I really want this to work...some good things some bad

verify that the elevation's view intersects your cut plane of the view where they are missing, if you have an elevation, and you drag it's top or bottom bounds above or below the cut plane, then it won't show in the view...  Also, as always, check your visibility graphics, make sure they are turned on.  If they are turned on, but not seen, and intersect your cut plane, then click on the "show hidden" button, (the lightbulb on the bottom with pink/purple, whatever color that is).  If it isn't visible in here, then the last thing I can think of is to check the elevation view's properties, checking to see if it has a hide at scales coarser than... value.  GL

thanks for those two ideas - but it ended up being that someone on my team had changed the option in the properties of the elevation marker itself to not show up in any views scaled smaller the 1/4".  They thought they were changing the view scale of the elevation itself, but instead were changing the views that the elevation marker showed up on. thanks again for you input

If Floor plan is in 1/8" scale and Callout is in  1 1/2" scale..select the elevation marker, go to its element properties and change the properties of "Hide at scales coarser than" (e.g. 1" = 400'-0"Winking. For your reference a screenshot image is attached..check out..hope this will solve your prob...
