Using Revit 2009. There has to be a simiple solution to my problem but I'm missing something somewhere. I have my site imported into my building model. But while I'm in the building model, I can not turn anything off that belongs to the site. The only thing I can do is hide whole site, which I don't want to do. I want to be able to isolate things. When I go into the VG then to Revit links and look at everything from the site, they are all grayed out and I can not do anything. Please advise. Thanks

do the following go to v/g links area, then you need to tell revit to override graphics (the drop down box, which has by host by linked, or custom). <= this is in the basics tab, by the way. Then go into the model or annotation tab and in the drop down box there, tell it custom. Now you can control what is shown. Now, if you don't have coincidental information (i.e.- the site only has site categories in it, and your model has architectural stuff, but they don't share any of the same categories), then you can just have the linked file as "by host", which then allows you to control the linked file by just your view settings. If you turned of planting in your view, the linked file would follow suite and turn off planting. Hope this helps.
