i have a curent floor plan in auto cad that we are updating to revit so i import the dwg to trace. is there a way to bring the dwg to the front so that i can see the windows and doors and things like that so that i know where to place them?

set the elevation of the cad plan (in the revit properties of that plan ) to the same height as the cutheight of your planview in revit
