I am using revit arch. 2008 and i am cutting the same section on multiple sheets but when i cut the section on a different sheet it still says that it is cut on ther first sheet i cut it on is there a way to reference the same section put have the section tag say that it is cut on the the sheet i place it on?

There is a check box to reference other view on the top options bar. After that is checked then a pulldown populates to select a list of sections to reference.

when i do that the section mark still says that it is cut on the first sheet. for example the first time i cut the section it was on sheet A6.1 when i reference the section on sheet A6.2 it says that it is cut on sheet A6.1 i need it to be cut on sheet A6.2.

So you want multiple references for each sheet the section is cut. The reference is to the first cut. You'd have to use an unintelligent label to get multiple references.

A label can be added to the Section Label family you are using with an instance parameter that then can be manually editted.
