We are using Revit Architecture 2008 (Build: 20070324_1700).I am currently working on a large college project, which consists of three separate buildings, with a model file for each building.I need to set-up 'Filters' and 'View Templates' for wall/partition layouts and Fire Strategy layouts respectively. I planned to do this in a template file, which I would then transfer over to the individual models, using the 'Transfer Project Standards' function. In the template, I set up filters, and in view properties, I define the colour fill for each filter category - and then I set up and name the view templates accordingly. In the Transfer project standards options, I tick/select Colour Fills, Filters, View Templates and Wall Types to be transferred. In the resulting model, the wall types, filters and view templates all transfer successfully - however, when I apply the view template to the respective view, the colour fills don’t appear - so I go to Visibility/Graphic overrides (VV) in View Properties, switch to the Filters tab, and the filters are listed but not colour fills are associated with each filter name. For the wall/partition types, we are using a lot of different colours, due to the no. of differing wall types/conditions - if I (or someone else) needs to set the colours on each model after transferring the standards, it could lead to errors/inconsistencies and defeats the purpose of being able to transfer 'standards' between models. Is this a bug of the function, or am I doing something incorrectly? Or does anyone know of a different way of transferring filter/view template setting between models?Cheers for any advice offered.MJ

First off, sounds like you might be working harder than need be... where are your sheets residing? If you have a "campus" file, and your sheets reside in there, then that s where you want your filters to reside. You don't need them in the linked files, unless you are printing sheets from within them also... And I agree with you, it would seem like a bug, but autodesk would "As Designed" that bug, because I think they didn't think it through. Anyway, to do it as you wanted to do, you'd have to "know" which color & settings go to which filter, and then manually enter them into each project.
