Here's my problem! Please help! I am trying to miter the fascia as it turns from the hip roof to the gable roof. I can't figure this one out....

i have this problem also. the only way i can solve it is using a plumb two cut on the roof (which has its own problems) but i found that a roof that is pretty deep, 7"-9", you can use a 6" 2 cut plumb to get it to clean up. but becareful, you will find out later why it has its own problems in DD's or CD's.

I can't download a PSD file on this computer, but if you do the fascias at the same time, they will mitre automatically. If you do them separately they don't mitre. By the way, the easiest way to show an image is to to 'Print screen', open Paint and paste it. Save it and by default you have a JPG that can be opened on any computer.

the problem i have found is also if you create the profile of the fascia on the left side of the crosshairs it will not clean up even if you create it all at the same time. if i could upload a rvt file i could show you but i cant get it lower than 5mb.

Is this Fascia a little BIG?? Only in the Gable you have the problem right?? what i do was change a little bit the angle of the fascia, don't solve the REAL problem but... To do that i think i use a "In-place" - "Solid sweep" with that profile.....

i will try changing the angle like you did but i am afriad that i will just have to hide it all in the wall sections and details...yes it is big but the designer doesnt care he only wants it right...so guess who has to have the head ache of fixing it...

last thing, if we can solve this problem i will not have any more issues with this stupid fascia. if i start the sweep on the eave the rake is wrong under the gable, if i start on the gable the eave is wrong...any suggestions. something about the transition from one side to the next rotates the fasica...i would like it to have the top part vertical like the eave is showing but have the rake vertical too.
