I am trying to figure out how to make the pattern on one ceiling to show as dashed while all of the other simolar ceilings remain constant. I was able to import the pattern file that allows me to show the ceiling tiles dashed but when I change the pattern in my new compound ceiling type 2'x4' ACT System Demo it changes the original 2'x4' ACT System too. Am I going about this the wrong way?

Make a duplicate of your original ACT ceiling. When you are editing the ceiling properties, don't forget to duplicate the material before editting it. If not, the same material assigned to your original ACT and your new ACT will be the same.

Fabulous - Thanks. So not only should you duplicate the ceiling family type but also under its structure you have to create a duplicate material to asign to your new ceiling family. Otherwise you are editing the material that is asigned to the original ceiling.
