I'm trying to understand how to work with families.  I thought I'd make a new window family as a test to see if I could model a current window design.  So I started with a new window family and made a basic frame with a sweep command, and a basic sash with a sweep command.  When the window is entered these apear where they should.  However when I added some muntins they would not stay where they were suppose to.  I solid mass modeled them in the same plan as the sash, but when I put the window in the wall, the sash and frame went where they were suppose to and the muntins floated out from the frame and sash.  I noticed that as I changed the depth of the wall, they floated at different distances away from the sash.

What am I doing wrong.  We've had the basic trainning at out office but we didn't get into this.

It's because you must constrain the elements, create Ref. Planes, create dimensions and add parameters for theres, then create the muntins and the rest of the family...
