We are using Revit architecture 2008. We have one option set with 4 options. The client has chosen option 4. Is there a way to "deactivate" the other options, and make option 4 so we don't have to choose "edit option" to edit the elements?

Accept the option. Look in your help for how to do this. NOTE: The other options will go away.
