is there a way for me to take my user file from a partitioned workset file from the office (to work at home this weekend on my laptop) without it giving me that whole "you're not connected to the network and have no connection to the central file, therefore you can't do anything to the file" message?  i will be the only one working on it, so i'm not concerned with conflicting information when i link back up on monday.  thanks in advance!

this might be too late. Anyway, if you are working alone with worksets, you still have to checkout all the sets that you will be working on somewhere else. Relinquish and save your work. Copy the file and once you open it at home, you can either make it a central file or detach it from central. you should also reliquish and save it to bring it to your office when you're done. Another way with out going through all of this is to make your log-in name for both computers (home and office) the same.
