I downloaded the Suite version (I'm using one) and updated my copy. Should I see the "Service Pack 1" anywhere on my Product Info after the update, I don't? Thanks.

Hi MHAMS, if you go to HELP menu and "Product Licence and Information" in "Current Status" you can see "Revit Architecture 2009 - 20080602_1900" the date of upgraded... lso you can go to: http://revit.downloads.autodesk.com/download/2009/RAC2009_WU1_List.pdf and check for the new Enhancement list.

Hi guys. Please ignore my ignorance but I am having some real issues with internal renders involving natural light (renders black) and from what I can tell this service pack you are talking about should fix my problems. Are any of you able to post a link to download this upgrade??? I've checked the link shown previously (http://revit.downloads.autodesk.com/download/2009/RAC2009_WU1_List.pdf) but am unable to source where to go to download this. Any help would be greatly appreciated and if I had a sister I would offer her virginity as a reward (unfortunately for you though I have no such sibling). Thanks guys, Stefan

True blooded Aussie I note. There may be some other issue. My interiors render perfectly and I have not installed the new service pack. Could it be the time of day? Are you using 'Interior. Sun Only'?

True blooded aussie indeed tim123 :-) I've tried various times/dates, explored portals (as yet haven't found one to any alternate universes I like yet), tried the various combinations of natural and artificial lighting and have doubled checked all materials, etc. I'M BUGGARED! Whenever I generate a daytime render with natural lighting etc. the daylight is visible outside the window but everything inside is black. It's almost as though the glazing doesn't allow the light to penetrate. I've double checked the material for glass and it's transparency and all seems to be in order. It's definitely an issue with the glass I think as when I delete the roof and ceiling the render generates ok. Definitely need to source a new window supplier I think :-) Thanks Typhoon I'll give those a crack and see how it comes up. Thanks for such speedy responses fellas! Maybe it's just a case of this non-existent virgin sister of mine turning off the lights and closing the blinds in an attempt to keep her innocence. That or to hide her actions therefore protecting her good reputation. BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD STEFAN!

Daylighting needs to be turned on in a view for the light to bounce around inside an interior rendered view. You can change this by using the custom rendering options. Change the quality setting to 'Edit' and scroll to the bottom, there are 3 check boxes there for daylighting (curtain wall, windows, and doors). You can also control the indirect lighting settings as well to control how accurate and to what degree the light bounces through the project. BTW, this is a setting which you have to set for each different view you want to render.

Hi Archdan Yeah I had tried all that but with no luck. Tried various different settings but still the same result :-( Many thanks anyway mate for the speedy response. Typhoon those links bring up all crazy shite on my computer. Brings up the following error message: "The service pack could not be installed because the expected Autodesk product could not be located on your computer. Make sure that you are using the correct service pack for the product." My "Current Status" under "Product and License Information" is as follows: Revit Architecture 2009 - 20080321_1900 This has really got me dumbfounded. Guess I should try it on another computer to clear up if it's a program related problem or a project/family related prob. Thanks everybody for all the help and advice it is muchly appreciated. Stefan
