Is there a quick way in REVIT Architecture 2008 to turn off all but a few desired sections in all plans views either by using view templates or otherwise? We have some sections that are "working sections" that we use just to help us draw things correctly and some that need to be shown on sheets.

When you print, you can check the box to hide un-referenced views. As long as the view is not placed on a sheet, the view reference will not print.

How about if I have a view callout around stairs and want only the stair section tag to show up in the callout view, but we have building sections that happen to run through the same area?

In 2008 or 2009, you can individually hide anything in a view.

I understand you can hide elements individual, but is there a faster way to hide and keep hidden all sections except one so that if someone cuts a new section it doesn't accidently show up in a view?

Im probably coming in waaay too late to this thread, but anyway for those that come across it. Dimplesaur is right, there has to be a quick way to tell a whole bunch of sections not to be referenced in a view, ie exact duplicates you have made that you dont want showing up and messing up your floorplan drawings. Aint no magic about Revit if you have to do 50 sheets and manually hide them. And there is a way. Select all the section views you dont want to be referenced, then right click properties and hide them at scales coarser than 1:1. that way they will never show up (unless you have a 1:1 view which is unlikely).
