Hi there

Up until this point in time we've used "Host Sweep - Roof Fascia" in order to do Ridge Capping. All we did here was use a simple circle profile and it worked an absolute treat. Since upgrading to version 2009 it doesn't seem to allow this feature.

I'm sure there's a simple work-around (it always is in Revit once you find it).

Has anybody else come across this problem?

If so do any of you smart cookies out there know a work-around???

Many thanks,

Stefan

You can use an 'in-place family'. Go to the modeling tab and select create. You will be ask to select a category for the in-place family. Choose roofs and you will be taken to family editor mode. There you can use a solid sweep and create what you need.

Thanks for that. I've never done it in this fashion before and it's definitely more time consuming then the previous method.

Pity they haven't allowed for the method previously described as they did in earlier versions.

Why take a program feature out when it works perfectly well!

Guess I'll have to get used to this method though.

COME ON AUTODESK!!!!! ADD A BLOODY RIDGE CAPPING FEATURE!!!!!!!
