Hello all, I am a Noob with Revit and the community...

First of all I have Revit 2009. I found out that the drawing conventions are very American and not European...

As I am trained in European conventions, I would like to use them...some examples:

    - when I have a shaft like an elevator or service core, we add a cross to show that the space is running vertical through the building

    - when there is a structure cantilevering on the other floor on top we use a hashed line to show it is there...

This is all the problem in plan view

Thanks for your help

hmmm thanks for the fast reply

I learn that Revit makes a lot of automatic decisions, so I would like to use them...

Q1: How can I show the lines in plan that show the lines above the head (which are invisible, dashed)

q2: how can I show in plan that a shaft or a service core has a cross?

Thank you

Hi again, in plan go VP and you can change the elevation of "cut plane" the "Top and Bottom level", but you also have in left pop menu a "Drafting" witch you can draw and create hatch and different kind of lines, if you have difficultes you also have the HELP menu....
