I've designed this canopy using wall for the cantilevered stainless steel canopy with the blades using railing and changing the propile of the rails. I know this seems to be not the right way though it make the results ok in 3d model but not the information.

What is the "correct" method of doing this kind of project? Particulary the curve brace, I used wall because of the simplicity of adjusting the radius in any case there are changes.

As long as you don't encounter any problems related to your method I think it is fine. We are not limited to using a specific tool for only one purpose. For example there is a tutorial posted on here on revit city that uses the beam system to do window louvers. That's great!

I would say your method of creating a canopy should be commended because you used your creativity to come up with a solution. Good Job!

you can do this with families (generic model, structure, etc.), where you can add parameters to edit the shape of your canopy.
