Hi all, I'm learning Revit and, thanks to all of you, i'm getting good at it. I want to know: if you do a callout view of a wall, is it possible to add a tag to the wall that list all the materials of the wall, from the outside to the inside or inverse? Also, when in a detail view, i added materials tags to the drawing, to walls and floors. I Can't tag detail componnent. Also, if I had materials tags to a wall section, if I move the wall, the tags does'nt follow the wall. They are unconnected. Thanks to all, Math.

I'm not sure about making a tag that will read the materials, but what we have done at our office is name our walls based on the wall construction [ie: exterior finish, air space, sheathing, stud, interior finish]. We have abbreviations for each of the names of the wall so that the name isn't a mile long, but this helps to organize or walls so we know exactly what we are putting down. Also you can make a wall tag that will read the wall type, that will read the name of the wall that will list all the materials that you choose to have in the name of the wall type. However this will only work on basic wall types, wall tag do not work very well for stacked walls [at least this is true for RA2008, my firm is taking its time updating to 2009 I hope this helps
