I'm using Revit 2009. I am building a receptionist desk that is a essentially a counter top on a halfwall. The wall is 2'-4.5" tall. I drew a callout in plan so I could show this underneath the countertop. I set the view range under the counter top- anywhere from 1-6 to 2-0. It didn't matter, I'd always get just two lines like I am in course detail (which I am not). I can never see the sheathing or finish material. I need to see this so I can accurately detail my trim and use the edit cut profile in a certain place. I have also tried a plan region to no avail. No matter what I try, I always just see two outlines of the walls on any wall under 6 feet or so. Any help?

Actually there is an anoying little issue with short walls in Revit. No matter what you do you can't show its finishes if a wall is below a certain distance. My suggestion would be to use detail lines on the callout plan to depict the finishes. Sorry. I am hoping they decide to change this in a future release.

Actually this is only true for walls with an unconnected height. Just make sure your wall goes up to a level with an offset rather than using the unconnected option and it will show correctly.

Thanks, Mr Spot I have been searching for the answer to this for a few months now. I don't usually us a constrained height on my wall so I never thought to check that. Thanks again.
