Is there a way to extend the rails at the top and bottom of the stairs to keep the rectangular geometry that is established by the balusters? See attached image- the balusters are in the correct location but the rails get cut off at the end of the control line in plan. The issue seems there isnt any elevational control of railing, only profile and plan. Please let me know how I might remedy this issue.

You should be able to edit the railing and sketch two additional lines at the top and bottom of the railing.  This will give you three segments - the bottom rail extension, normal rail (parallel to the stairs) and then your top extension.  Not entirely sure if this what your asking, so I hope it helps.

Unfortunately you can't get your railing to end at right angles like that very easily...

You have a couple of options, you could do each of the rails as a separate railing so you could control each of their lengths independantly.  OR

You could create a special start and end baluster that includes the infill rails...

All the rails were created separately and added to the railing type...the top is a flat bar then 8 round bars.

How do you control the lentgh independantly in the railing options? I dont see any available controls.

Thanks for the help.
