Has anyone had trouble copying and pasting drafting views between projects? We have some standard drafting details that we'd like to include as "typical" on another job, but it seems that the CTRL-C and CTRL-V commands aren't working right. I can only get that procedure to work once or twice before the "paste" command just doesn't do anything. It may have something to do with the computers being a few years old (purchased in 2006 I believe). Any help would be appreciated.

Hi there! Haven't come across any issues with copying and pasting between views but one thing you could try is exporting from one drawing file and importing into another. I find this works best: 1/ Follow these prompts when exporting from the sourse file [File - Save to Library - Save Views...]. then it's just a case of saving the view to your personal/company library for future use/editing. 2/ Then in your new project [File - Insert from File - Views...] and browse to your previously saved drafting view. This works a treat and I have never had any issues with this method. Plus as a bonus you always have this detailed view for further projects. Please forgive me if I have just explained a process you were already aware of. If copy and paste is still preferred you could always try grouping all linework within the drafting view, copy and paste this "group" into the new project then ungroup. Hope this helps. Best Regards, Stefan
