I have drawn a structural model (i.e. just the steel) but want to be able to check if any of the mebers clash with each other, has Revit got the capabilities to do this? I am currently working on Revit Structures 2008.

Good time to learn ... run the clash detection and see what happens. Tools - interference check. Use your help menu too!

We use NavisWorks at our office, and the comparison between the interference reports out of Revit and NW (while still lacking even in NW) are like night and day. I'm sure you can use some css and xml to pretty up the Revit report, but I have not played with that yet. The quick and dirty is that the interference check is a good first step to seeing if your model is clashing with other disciplines or even your own discipline. GL!

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders. The most famous is never get involved in a land war in asia, but only slightly less well known is this! Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line! |
