Hi all

I’m a newbie  to Revit 09

I’m looking at trying to create a new nested family of doors for experience.  I’ve done all the tutorials etc that come with the software but nothing really explains how to constrain items.  I’ve had a look at the supplied Single steel frame 720 door family which looks complicated.  I’m interested in creating a double door version.  Can some1 point me in the right direction??

make your frames, doorpanels ex. in generic model with al the wanted parameters,

load them into a doorfamilie or window,

make some new parameters with add parameter like, doorframe width , height , doorpanel width,,,

then place for example your doorframe in your model and go to its properties , there you will see a litle square next to the parameters you made in generic model , click on that and you can link it to the new parameters made in your door familie
