2008. I am not happy with the stair configuration and details created by the Revit modeler for wood stairs. they have some goofy elements in the model and can't make a simple wood stringer. riser and tread model to add vinyl floor and treads and risers!!.....any idea of other ones out there to assist me??? thanks for your help!!

For some reason, we can't add patterns to treads in stairs but they will render correctly.
I suggest you look at the example stairs (BTW - later versions are no longer posted so look in the 2009 library.)
The on-line library is here: http://revit.autodesk.com/library/html/index.html
The stairs and other items are under the Revit instruction and Help samples.
