Does anyone know how to create a cupola that has an octagon base and the shell itself contains 8 sections?

Are you using 2008 or 2009? I did a cupola in 2008 and I used the massing tools. It took some playing around with to get what I wanted. The massing tool was the easiest. I had tried using the roof tools at first and that was a mess. Maybe the solid blend or extrusion would be useful under massing. Play around with the voids too. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. If you search for domes in this forum you might get a better idea on how to handle massing. -Stephanie
