Need a little help with how walls automatically join one another.

I am trying to build one wall with another that has a 2" clearance...can't do it.... show plan and section on what I am getting

can someone tell me what controls this automatic wall joining.  There  has to be a setting somewhere

Click on the wall in plan then right click on the blue grip at the end of the wall and choose do not join.

that helped but not 100% there yet.  So what I did, was create a family, expansion/fire safing, using a wall. So 2" thick wall then disallow join.  Having problem with this working with stacked wall.  I have created a stack wall 3" siding w/ 6" curb.  Disallow still doesn't give me what I want.

are you talking about a plan view or a section view with that .tif?  it looks like you just need to lower the top of the wall if its section.  (so you may have to detatch it from the floor above)
