I am working with dependent plan views of one large building plan and I want to align them so that they appear on the sheets in the same position. This will also apply to building sections and wall sections. I have several sheets of wall sections and I would like to align them across all the sheets but I cannot snap to anything in the view or dimension from the edge of the sheet to anything in the view.

What you can do is to add detail lines in "paper space" - copy to clipboard and paste same place on your other sheets. Now when you place a view, you can aling it to this line visually. I find that I can nudge it close - then when you zoom in, your nudge gets smaller and you can align it even closer.
