Hi all, relatively new to revit, and i'm trying to create linetypes with text in them, have found the workaround, but it talks about using a no pattern filled region. Can't seem to create a filled region with no pattern, if use the soild pattern i can't get it to send to back and my inported text from autocad is hidden by the pattern

What method are you using?

The way it should be done is with a line based detail component and you nest a detail component of the letter written with lines into this family and array it.

Blank Filled Regions were phased out in 2008.  They are now Masking Regions.  Trying using these.  If you still have issues, be really nice to me and I'll post an example file for you Smile

Thank you, that appears to work, but you cant have a topsurface in the back ground otherwise the masking region removes the surface colouring aswell, or is there a way around this.

Cheers & beers

Don't use a Masking Region then, it is there to conceal the line. You cannot conceal the line and not the background.
