Is it possible to import a .dgn file into Revit and pull information such as column and beam sizes out of it? I am under the impression that when importing a 3D block I am doing just that, importing a 3D image. If I import it as a mass I should be able to use the pick face command and assign materials to it, but as far as pulling information from it, it seems as though that is only possible between two Revit applications. Does anyone have experience importing .dgn files? Does anyone know how I could read information from this .dgn file through Revit or AutoCAD? FYI, I don’t have MircoStation. Thank you, Cynthia

I'm not sure but I think you would need to export a .sat file from Microstation and import the .sat file into Revit which would then give you 3D solids. Maybe!
