Hello all, I would like to know if anyone has found a way to hide a detail tag in all views, without going to each view and hiding the tag? I know the next question is why would I want to do this. The answer to that is my office lists door head / jamb / sill details in our door schedule and does not tag them on the plans. With revit, to create the detail you have to use a callout or detail mark and the seem to show up in all views, then drop it on you page. That part is great, but the tag are showing up every where they are not supposed to. In lieu of spending days on end searching for every door detail tag. My office is using Revit 2008. Thanks in advance for you help.

Are you using model geometry to create detail (like a section or callout)? If not just use a drafting view and you can apply it to any sheet without any other referencing info. If you are needing to create details by using the model then I don't know of any way to hide all callouts and tags at once.

im probably way too late here, but what you do is highlight all the details/sections etc in the project browser that you dont want to see in floorplans, then right click and properties menu. then select hide at scales coarser than 1:1. this will hide the reference tag in any view that is larger than 1:1 (unless you have a 1:1 scale view which is unlikely) you definitely need the power to do this otherwise it would take ages
