I am using hand dryer downloaded from this website. Problem : I am putting the hand dryer at level 0 and its working fine. The moment i placed hand dryer at Level 1, its not visible in plan but coming ok in section and elevations. I have tried all the possibilities thru visibility/graphics option.

Check to make sure the cut plane is set above the item you want to show. This is found in View Properties-->View Range.

I have tried that option as well but its not coming. Point to be note here is if I click on reveal hidden elements then i can see the hand dryer in plan but unhide in view option is not activated. It shows that hand dryer is not in hide mode in main plan. Please help

Are you saying that you have right clicked on the object and hide & unhide are not avaible to you?

What is the height? Is it above the cut plane? You can create a plan region and change the cutplane for the area where the dryer is. OR you can change your cut plane higher, trace the outline (and lock) with detail lines, then put the cut plane back where it was. When you use "reveal hidden elements" is the hand dryer shown in red?Edited on: Fri, Apr 25, 2008 at 10:33:24 AM

Rams, I still think it is a view range issue. But just to check, move the hand dryer down so it is 2'6" off of the floor level. If it shows up in your plan, it is a view range issue, if it does not then it is something else and I'll give you some other thoughts. Cheers.

Check the Visibility Graphics under the Imported Categories tab. I believe the family you are using was created from a CAD import and there is an Imported Category that is probably turned off. I was able to recreate the situation you have with a family that I downloaded from the Web Library.

if it isn't the visibility graphics option, edit the family, open up the floorplan (reflevel) and see if there are any symbolix or model lines. If there aren't then click on the geometry of the object, and on the options bar click visiblity, verify that the boxes are checked for the views that you want the geometry to show up. If that doesn't work, then I'm at a loss... Good Luck
