RA 2008 I created a chimney as a mass. I placed "stone" material on it. In the model it looks fine but when it prints it the stone shows as transparent and you see the lines for the clapboard behind.

Masses are made to not print, but obviously will depending on the material selected and the settings you use. They print unpredictably sometimes. Think of a "Mass" as a three dimensional guideline. You can Apply by Face some stone Walls to the surfaces of your mass or create a "Generic Model" for 3D solids.

What I did was place wall by face. I have to admit, being fairly new to Revit, I never really paid attention to the house icon for by face. But i knew it was possible because i remember a video from dgcad. Learn every day with Revit.................... Thanks
