I keep getting an error message that says there is a circular chain of reference among highlighted elements. I can't seem to get around this. Any ideas?

I have seen this and I am pretty sure it means that there is a confilct with some of the constraints/parameters. It sometimes is found in the sketch mode of an object. I usually just try to find out which items are involved in the conflict and by trial and error method I usually can fix the issue.

easy way around this, in sketch mode, select your sketch line and mirror (with copy unchecked) then mirror at the same axis back to its original position, this will get rid of sketch dimensions and constrains, which you can't see!
