I created a custom window in a separate family file. However, when I load it into the existing file, the window places, but does not cut the area out of the wall I placed it in (in plan). Could somebody help me please!!!!!!!!! Thanks, Michelle Armand

firstly did you use the window family template, because if say you used a generic metric template then that won't work for a window as it doesn't have the cut opening in it.

I fixed the problem. I forgot the sill was 7' and the floor plan cut was at 4'. Thanks for your help though!
