It would be nice if this supposedly coordination friendly program allowewd the use of a type of parameter that did not control anything but just informed other items.  Specific issue which I have read several times thus far in these forums is scheduling wall thicknesses for for door construction.  All I want is to be able to put a refereable dimension on a wall in a family that would change with the wall thickness so that I can schedule the throat size of my doors.  Mind you, I am not asking for a parameter just a refereable dimension.
