In Architectural Desktop you can draw Horizontal Sections of buildings. This is convenient to show different levels of a model by slicing through each floor at mid-height. That way both walls and furniture can be easily viewed at the same time, and it gives the client a clear picture of the relationship between the different spaces. Can this be done in Revit; and if so: how?

Aren't Horizontal Secitons just Floor plans? You can adjust view ranges and create different floor plan views. I am not sure exactly what you are asking though.

Coreed That was dead on. Exactly what I wanted. Thank you so much. With the box, you can even slice the building in two planes at the same time. Not that I would want to off-hand. James. The difference with a floor plan is about 3d modeling. Give the client a chance to understand what he is in for. Some people just don't relate at all to orthogonal floor plans. Whereas a model has shaded surfaces and 3d visual queues that help him get his bearings. Isometric wash basins and bathtubs; drawn in doors, glass windows and stuff. You can't imagine how many times you may have shown drawings to people and they simply said OK without understanding what was going on. To illustrate the difference I have included a jpeg of what I was trying to do, and could do thanks to Coreed's advice. Guy
